The church of Sant Julià and Sant Germà is the most important in the parish and continues to maintain its daily ecclesiastical activity. Of Romanesque origin, it was restored and reformed in a modern way, although it retains the Lombard bell tower of three floors, square and massive, made with a well-ordered apparatus of stone block and regular measures, with arches and pilasters. Inside, in addition to the carving of the Christ of Grace, we find the baroque altarpieces of Sant Julià, the Immaculate (18th century) and Sant Germà, as well as two 12th century carvings of the Virgin of the Canòlich and the Mother of God of Remedy. Since May 2019, the church of Sant Julià has had 200 m2 of mosaics by the renowned international artist Marko Ivan Rupnik, known as the Michelangelo of the 21st century. The remodeling has contributed to the beautification of the high altar and the presbytery, and to creating a separate chapel for Our Lady of the Canòlich, patron saint of Sant Julià de Lòria. The artist captures in his work the image of a pantocrator that covers the entire wall, as well as the image of Jesus surrounded by the evangelists, the Virgin Mary and other relevant figures of Catholic iconography. The visit of Sant Julià and Sant Germà is included in the Ronda Laurediana itinerary. Guided tour on request: €2.
